Today I was trying to find a note someone had written on Facebook. I put in what I thought the title was and hit enter on my keyboard. Next thing I know, I'm on a Facebook page titled "God Needs Our Help". I didn't read the page, I just continuously hit my 'Home' button until the site finally did what I wanted it to and let me get back to my news feed. My page barely loaded when I had a reality check. How many times has God asked for my help to do something - talk to someone, pray with Him, read His Word, worship Him, the list continues on and on - and I've been so caught up in my own goals I totally miss His.
I forget how much bigger than me this whole world is. I forget that He has a plan that is greater than anything I can imagine. I forget that He is in control of everything and if I just do as He asks, the reward will be so much greater. Sometimes, I just have to stop and pay attention.
Thank you Lord for showing me today that I'm not listening to You. Please open my heart to your directions and help me follow them.
