So I joined some ladies for an all girls evening last night. It was loads of fun! We watched a Barbra Streisand movie called "The Mirror Has Two Faces". Lots of laughs! There were some parts that really got me to thinking. When you look in the mirror, do you see who you really are or who everyone says you are? I would love to say I see who I really am, but I don't know that is true. For years I've been told things about my appearance that I have come to just accept as though they are true.
God sees us in such different eyes than we see ourselves. Covered in Jesus's blood, I am perfect in His eyes. He loves me and He thinks I am beautiful. He loves everyone and thinks everyone is beautiful. How do I know this? I know this because He created us in His own image and He said it was good. Now to only see myself the way He does, how I pray that someday I will.
